We Believe:
-that everyone deserves a voice
-that communication is central to connecting with the people you love
-that intrinsic motivation is more powerful than extrinsic (external) rewards and that external rewards rob us of the joy of communicating
-that an individual's preferences, interests, dislikes be honored and that therapy approaches should be tailored to the individual
-that therapy and communication should be joyful
-that communication does not just occur by using verbal words. Communication comes in the form of gestures, verbal words, gazes, physcial movements, pictures signs and each form is valid.
-that honest relationships are key to helping individuals communicate and connect with others more effectively
-that families and caregivers have valuable insights and are an important part of the therapeutic process
