Speech-language therapy and occupational therapy

Program consists of 8 group sessions of 2.5 hours each (20 hours in total), 3 individual video feedback sessions and one pre-program consultation. The course runs for 8 weeks.

Course goals:
a) to provide training, support and information on language facilitation to parents and other primary caregivers of young children with language delays;
b) to endeavor to provide this service regardless of the degree or type of handicapping condition experienced by the child;
c) to foster in the community a greater awareness of the needs of children with language delays and of the significant role that parents, caregivers, early childhood educators and early intervention providers play in effecting positive change in these children’s social and language development.
